Your mission

We are searching for an enthusiastic event manager with a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization in conceptualizing, planning & hosting events that enhance our organization's image, improve client loyalty, and enhance our brand-to-client experience. The event manager will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our events' calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee relations, and improve our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality. To further strengthen the rapid growth of our company, we are looking for a highly motivated team player.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management.

Your profile

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts that support the company’s strategy. 

  • Build relationships with event organizers to ensure optimal visibility and thought leadership opportunities. 

  • Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicize and promote the event.

  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, booth, venue, catering, travel, guest speakers and delegate packs). 

    • Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed. 

  • Ensure the Qblox team is adequately prepared for the event.

  • Analyze event KPI performance: Event registrations, Event attendance & visitor registrations, High (NPS) scores on event surveys, Mentions on social media, Active community members (installed base & partners). 

  • Keep track of the event budget spend in line with planning.

Skill requirements
  • Bachelor/Master degree in event management, public relations, communications or hospitality.

  • Experience in multi-national event management of minimum 3+ years

  • Finds innovative and effective solutions to build our brand through events

  • Fulfills the needs of the customer as far as possible through attractive events

  • Sets targets and priorities effectively and efficiently, plans necessary actions

  • Focus on the essential details to realize success

  • Engages people and resources at the right time and place with the right instructions

  • Can cooperate effectively in (multidisciplinary) groups

  • Ability to work very well independently as well as in a team

  • Ability to multitask

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Affinity with high tech and/or science is required

  • International travel & cross-cultural collaboration is required

Skill preferences:

  • Experience with inbound marketing, marketing automation and CRM tools (i.e. Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua)

  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
