Does the prospect of interacting with clientele including leading university labs and industry research centers to solve practical problems in Quantum Computing excite you?

For  the Quantum Success Engineering team at Qblox, we are looking for a tech-savvy physicist or engineer (the line here at Qblox is thin!) with a strong focus on making the customer's laboratory life easier. Not only is our ideal candidate comfortable operating electronics and summoning their Python development skills when required, but is  also able to talk the science-talk and communicate their ideas clearly to guide novice customers online and offline in their journey at becoming an expert. At Qblox we build intricate and complex hardware but with a strong focus on making it easy to use. We need a Quantum Success Engineer to not only communicate these intricacies effectively to the customer but also help us improve by studying the customer feedback and collaborating with our teams of roadmap leaders, technical R&D and application scientists. 

We need a convincing communicator who identifies themselves as customer focused, structured, proactive and well-versed in the fast developing science of quantum computing.
Your profile

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide a successful Qblox customer onboarding, from the sales order, the QSE team takes point on debriefing, schedules the installation, clarifying any prerequisites on site and ensuring a smooth, fast and successful installation which matches the customer’s goals and requirements.
  • Provide on-going feedback to the Roadmap leaders on customer requirements and experience, the QAE and R&D team on product performance and technical requirements
  • Solving complex technical problems by (remotely) analyzing data and creating forward looking action plans in collaboration with the local teams (if available).
  • Drive faster customer support -, through Qblox instruments, Quantify, product manuals & quick start tutorials. 
  • Schedule and manage preventive maintenance and visits to customer sites.
  • You work together with the commercial team on achieving high customer satisfaction which results we obtain through interviews & surveys. You develop methods to gather highly relevant market data from our customers.

Skill requirements
  • You have a Master's degree in a technical science field (i.e. (applied) physics, engineering, electronics, computer science), a strong affinity with quantum physics is necessary.
  • You have previous experience on a high level (user level) with embedded electronics or hi-tech mechanical and electronic systems/ products. This can be in the context of laboratory experience or as part of your studies or through internships or side projects.
  • You are familiar with programming in Python(intermediate skills are preferred, but beginners are also welcome to apply).
  • Your English is at a full professional proficiency level, both spoken and written.
  • You are a highly motivated team player, have a creative “can do” mentality, have a passion for building relationships, are customer focused, communicate effectively with customers, employees & partners from all parts of the world, are organized, are disciplined and eager to keep learning.
