In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of collaboration, working closely with senior managers to craft performance goals and long-term operational strategies in production. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing efficiency and productivity across our product release, sourcing, production, and logistical channels. As a leader, you'll set strategic and operational goals to drive operational excellence and elevate productivity to unprecedented levels.

Partnering with project managers, you'll play a key role in shaping financial and budgetary plans, ensuring alignment with our overarching objectives. Your keen analytical eye will allow you to dissect current operational processes and performance, pinpointing areas for enhancement and proposing innovative solutions. Together, we'll embark on a journey of continuous improvement, transforming challenges into opportunities and propelling our organization toward even greater success.

Role description and responsibilities:

As the Head of Operations, your role is to oversee the entire production process, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the company's goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve managing the operational systems and processes within the production operations department, from start to finish. The operations team is responsible for the production and delivery of a comprehensive array of electronic products encompassing both hardware and software. Our supply chain management is crafted to prioritize PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) production alongside the strategic sourcing of electrical and mechanical components.

Drawing on your strong relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors, you'll play a key role in making strategic decisions that directly impact production activities. Whether it's sourcing materials, optimizing production schedules, or streamlining workflows, your input will be crucial in driving productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Analyzing key metrics is a fundamental aspect of your role. By closely monitoring production output, quality standards, and resource utilization, you'll identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall performance. Whether it's maturing our supply chain, reducing cycle times, strategizing stock levels or increasing throughput, your goal is to maximize efficiency while maintaining product quality. Your vision extends beyond day-to-day operations. You'll develop long-term strategies for scaling production programs across the organization. You'll actively seek out opportunities for innovation and process improvement, whether it's implementing new manufacturing techniques, adopting automation solutions, optimizing logistics, expanding facilities, or establishing partnerships with suppliers to support growth and meet increasing demand. By embracing change and staying adaptable, you'll position the company for long-term success and competitiveness in the market.

Certification & Compliance is paramount in production operations. You'll ensure that all processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. By maintaining a strong focus on compliance and governance, you'll mitigate risks and uphold the company's reputation for quality and reliability.

Leading and developing your production team is a critical aspect of your role. You'll work closely with Human Resources to recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Your goal is to empower your team to excel and take ownership of their roles within the production process.

You'll work closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, quality assurance and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operational activities. Whether it's coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, or optimizing distribution channels, your ability to collaborate effectively will drive overall efficiency and success.

In summary, as the Head of Operations, your role is to lead, optimize, and innovate within the production department to enable 100% growth every 12-18 months. Your role is multifaceted, encompassing sourcing, production, logistics, warranty and RMA responsibilities. By effectively managing these areas, you'll ensure the smooth functioning of the operations department and contribute to the overall success and competitiveness of the organization.


Experience, knowledge & skills* 


Master's degree in Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred. Bachelor's degree with exceptional experience will also be considered.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. 

  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in inspiring and motivating teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.

  • Proficiency in analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize operational performance. Experience with performance measurement, forecasting, and process improvement methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools for planning, executing, and controlling projects related to operations improvement, new product launches, or production expansion initiatives.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results and achieving key performance indicators related to operational efficiency, cost reduction, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction.

  • Deep understanding of the high tech industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to operations management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Optional but beneficial certifications include Lean Six Sigma certification, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).

  • Experience with PCBA production and the electronic components supply chain is beneficial.

Cross-functional collaboration: The capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across different functional areas. This includes fostering strong relationships, resolving conflicts, and aligning goals and priorities to achieve collective success.

Change Management: The skill to navigate and lead organizational change initiatives, whether it involves process improvements, technology implementations, or organizational restructuring. This competency encompasses effectively communicating changes, managing resistance, and facilitating smooth transitions.

Decision making and problem solving: The capability to analyze complex situations, evaluate options, and make timely and effective decisions. This includes assessing risks, considering implications, and implementing solutions to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
